Meetup #4: THE BO SSAM, Monday, June 28th @ Momofuku Ssam Bar
It’s with great heartache, that I’ll be leaving New York for greener pastures out on the left coast. Don’t fear, though, I plan on starting a codefoodbar in the Bay Area and Matt is going to be continuing the charge here in NYC.
What better way to say goodbye then one of the best meals NYC has to offer, the beautiful glistening glory of the Bo Ssam. You may have heard of the Bo Ssam from such places as “No Reservations” or “Worlds Best Recipes”. It would be pretty hard to be a resident of New York these days and have any interest in food and NOT have seen or heard of David Chang and his pork obsession.
Lets just say, there will be a lot of food. There will be a lot of Sake, too. Food-wise, it will be ~$60 a head. Drinks-wise - who knows. This time, I’m not making any concessions for vegetarians. Sorry, this is a giant hunk of meat and a ton of oysters and other deliciousness.
The reservation is early - 5PM. It just means we’ll have more time to celebrate. Lets toast to New York, to Pork, to SF, to the love of food!
